The Iranian Foreign Minister called the President of Ukraine a foolish clown

In his recent post on the X platform, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi sharply criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a "foolish clown." He noted that such figures have become tiresome for the world:

Araghchi also added: "Zelensky is robbing American and European taxpayers to enrich his corrupt generals while trying to resist what he calls illegal aggression that violates the UN Charter. However, he himself calls for the same aggression from the US against Iran, which is also a violation of this Charter."
"We Iranians are capable of defending ourselves and do not need foreign assistance, unlike your army, which depends on external support and is full of mercenaries," he emphasized.

At the same time, President Zelensky, speaking at the Davos Economic Forum, criticized Europe for its inaction regarding the suppression of protests in Iran. He stated: "Europe offers nothing and is not ready to support the Iranian people in their quest for democracy. When you refuse to help those who are fighting for freedom, the consequences are always negative, as was the case with Belarus in 2020."

Meanwhile, American media report that former President Donald Trump has sent numerous ships toward Iran "just in case." "We have a lot of ships heading in that direction, and we are closely monitoring the situation. I hope nothing happens," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.

According to Reuters, the US has deployed the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and several guided-missile destroyers, which are expected to arrive in the Middle East in the coming days.
