According to the National Statistics Committee, from January to September 2023, the expenses of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on vacations abroad amounted to 423.3 million US dollars.
This figure shows a decrease of 1% compared to the same period in 2022.
Experts in the tourism industry note that Kyrgyz citizens have started to choose new destinations for their vacations. One of the major travel companies previously reported that families with children are now more frequently traveling to Egypt and the Phu Quoc resort in Vietnam, which is related to the "all-inclusive" format, developed hotel infrastructure, and comfortable conditions for vacations with children.
At the same time, young people prefer more active destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai, which attract tourists with their vibrant urban life, variety of entertainment, and lively nightlife atmosphere.
