"The deadlines for taxi licensing need to be postponed for six months, otherwise unemployment will rise, - deputy"
He reminded that according to previously established norms, all taxis were supposed to switch to a licensing regime starting February 1, 2026.
“You won’t be able to meet the requirements by February 1 anyway. We need to stop demanding various certificates,” Bekeshev noted.
The deputy added that under the current conditions, the introduction of licenses and additional certificates would create serious obstacles for thousands of taxi drivers. In his opinion, this could lead to an increase in unemployment, especially among those who earn a living in the passenger transport sector.
Dastan Bekeshev proposed to simplify the process of obtaining a license and officially postpone the deadlines for the new requirements to come into effect in order to avoid social tension.
