In Austria, scientists have observed a miracle cow using a stick for the first time
According to a study conducted by scientists from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Veronica demonstrated the ability to use tools, a trait previously observed only in chimpanzees. In the course of 70 experiments, the cow successfully completed tasks, including using a long-handled brush to scratch her back.
Alisa Auer-Sperg, co-author of the study, noted: “We have absolutely no evidence that cows are stupid animals. Although Veronica is not the Einstein of cattle, it should be taken into account that she lives as a pet, not for milk or meat production. She had numerous different activities and objects to interact with. Furthermore, she lived a long life.”
