National states have "gone into the past," Central Asian countries must become part of a unified union with Russia, said philosopher Dugin.

In his interview on the YouTube channel "InfoCelina" on January 12, Dugin also commented on the military actions of the United States in Venezuela and the threats made by American President Donald Trump regarding the sovereignty of Greenland, which is part of Denmark and a U.S. ally in NATO.

He noted that wars arise when international law ceases to satisfy the interests of leading countries. "Trump says that this moment has come. In fact, it has been brewing for a long time, starting from the collapse of the Soviet Union. [Trump] is now reviewing the world based on America's interests, which is the third world war, during which the map of the world will change," the philosopher added.

According to Dugin, in the current situation, Russia should proclaim itself an empire and ignore international law, which, in his opinion, no longer matters. He argues that Russia needs to declare its dominance in Eurasia, similar to the Monroe Doctrine, and together with China and India "declare dominance over the Eastern Hemisphere."

“Our task is to become the most important center of power in a three-polar world: sovereign, independent, and powerful. All territories that do not fall under our control will not be able to remain neutral. They will become footholds for other poles, especially the U.S. Therefore, the existence of a sovereign Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan is unacceptable. Either they will be in our alliance, or they will turn into a foothold for the West or China,” Dugin emphasized.

In his opinion, "sovereignty as such no longer makes sense for states that do not possess nuclear weapons and are unable to defend themselves against the strongest players." He believes that nation-states have "gone into the past" and have become irrelevant.

This statement by Dugin is not the only one in recent times. Last week, Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated that Armenia and Central Asia are within Russia's sphere of influence, and their loss threatens the national security of the Russian Federation. "If we needed to start a special military operation in Ukraine, why can't we do the same in other regions of our influence?" he said.

In response to these remarks, the Armenian Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador and delivered a note of protest, emphasizing that such words are an unacceptable encroachment on the sovereignty of the country and violate the foundations of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia.

In Kyrgyzstan, it was suggested to declare Solovyov a persona non grata.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted that Solovyov's opinions are his personal viewpoint and do not reflect the official position of the country. "This is the opinion of a journalist. There was no official statement; it was rather a rhetorical question. Such remarks should not be perceived as the official position of Russia," she concluded.
