In the mining sector, products worth 65.4 billion soms were produced during this period. The leading position in this area was held by the extraction of metallic ores, the volume of which amounted to 46 billion soms, highlighting its importance in the structure of industrial production.
Other areas of the mining industry include:
- extraction of brown and hard coal (lignite) — 9.5 billion soms;
- extraction of oil and natural gas — 7.3 billion soms;
- extraction of other minerals — 2.4 billion soms;
- services in the field of mineral extraction — 69.7 million soms.
