According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, citing information from the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the country's tourism sector significantly increased its revenues in 2025, reaching 1.098 billion US dollars. This figure is 8.1% higher than the results of 2024.
The sector contributed 3.8% to the gross domestic product, and the gross added value amounted to 74.4 billion soms.
Approximately 129,000 business entities are actively involved in the tourism sector, indicating a high level of engagement from entrepreneurs in this area.
The growth in indicators was ensured by several factors:
- effective promotion of Kyrgyzstan on the international stage;
- development of infrastructure for tourists and improvement of service quality;
- expansion of destinations for tourist flows;
- increase in domestic tourism and activation of entrepreneurial activities in the regions.
Authorities emphasize sustainable development of the sector, prioritizing environmental aspects, preservation of cultural heritage, and balanced regional development.
Kyrgyzstan continues to strengthen its position as a popular tourist destination in Central Asia. Key tasks remain the development of year-round tourism, digitalization of the sector, creation of new tourist products, and expansion of international cooperation.
Reaching the milestone of 1 billion dollars is an important landmark in the development of the tourism sector and indicates a high level of effectiveness of the implemented state policy.
