Thousands of residents of the border area of Batken will gain access to clean drinking water

In the Batken region, several large projects aimed at providing the population with clean drinking water are in the final stages. Particularly notable achievements have been recorded in the village of Muras in the Leilek district, where the construction of the water supply system is nearing 90 percent completion. Soon, this facility will be fully ready for operation, providing more than 3,000 local residents with the necessary resource. Public hearings were also held as part of the project, during which water tariffs were agreed upon with the participation of activists and local authorities, ensuring the system's sustainable operation in the future.

Active work is also underway in the Batken district. In the village of Kara-Bulak, modern water capture structures are being built to collect spring water, and a 14-kilometer main pipeline is being laid. The opening of this facility will be an important step towards improving water supply for 4,000 residents of the village, including two schools, two kindergartens, and a health post. A similar project is being implemented in the village of Sovietskoye in the Kadamjay district, where another 2,200 people will gain access to safe drinking water.

Monitoring of the progress of the work is being carried out by a team of specialists led by Arstan Mukhtarov, who conducts on-site inspections at all construction sites. Contractors have been given clear instructions to comply with sanitary standards and complete the projects on time. Inspectors emphasized that the timely commissioning of water supply systems is a priority task for improving the quality of life in the region.

The implementation of these initiatives will not only help solve the long-standing problem of water scarcity but will also create a foundation for the long-term development of local villages. During meetings with the population, experts highlighted the importance of sound tariff policies and the active participation of residents themselves in maintaining the new infrastructure in working condition for many years. It is expected that by the end of the year, the water supply issue in these settlements will be fully resolved.
