According to the Ministry of Finance, as of January 31, 2026, Kyrgyzstan's national debt amounted to $8 billion 940.04 million. This is $19.42 million more than in December 2025, which is due to an increase in borrowings in the domestic market.

The bulk of the domestic debt consists of loans from long-term securities, which reached $3 billion 559.94 million (99%). As for the external debt, the largest share belongs to the Export-Import Bank of China, with an amount of $1 billion 501.44 million (28.1%).

Thus, as of January 31, the national debt is 37.82% of the expected GDP for 2026.
