Kazakhstan proposed to strengthen transit control and simplify conditions for honest business

During the meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the EAEU, Jandos Dyusenbiev, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of joint work and unified standards in customs administration.

The meeting discussed a wide range of issues, including the implementation of previously adopted decisions, classification of goods, and development of law enforcement practices, as well as improving transit procedures and risk management.

Particular attention was paid to information interaction in the process of controlling transit cargo transportation.

Dyusenbiev stressed that it is crucial for the customs services of the union countries to have complete information about the further fate of goods, including data on their final declaration.

“This approach will allow for a comprehensive analysis of the entire supply chain, improve the quality of control, and reduce the risks of violations,” he noted.

In addition, the head of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan proposed to consider the development of information exchange as a key area for joint activities.

He also initiated an analysis of the impact of the proposed control measures on honest business, suggesting that the working group of countries prepare recommendations for simplifying procedures and improving business processes.

Dyusenbiev expressed confidence that the proposed measures would help increase the effectiveness of combating violations in the field of transit and create more favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity.
