Kyrgyzstan attracts investments in renewable energy


Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with representatives of CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd., where issues related to the development of solar energy in the country were discussed. According to the agency's press service, the parties considered opportunities for cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources.

In particular, emphasis was placed on the "Ak-Tatyr" solar power plant project, which is being implemented in the Batken region by CECEP. Issues related to the construction and operation of facilities, the implementation of energy-efficient technologies, and attracting foreign investments were also discussed.

Sabirov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to expanding the renewable energy sector and creating a favorable climate for investors.

During the meeting, mechanisms for public-private partnerships and investment agreements were discussed. CECEP representatives expressed interest in implementing current projects and intend to expand their activities in Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on joint initiatives and developing long-term cooperation.
