The head of the Tax Service warned about the risks to Kyrgyzstan's economy due to weak business

The Chairman of the State Tax Service, Alambet Shykmamatov, emphasized that an underdeveloped business could lead to an increase in poverty in the country. He expressed his position at a recent meeting with entrepreneurs in Osh.

Shykmamatov clarified that the president's decree on a temporary moratorium on tax control of entrepreneurs prohibits the initiation of criminal cases against businessmen. Since its signing, not a single criminal case has been registered.

“At the moment, prosecutors do not grant permission to initiate cases, and any inspections require their consent. This decree is aimed at reducing excessive inspections, supporting businesses, and protecting private property rights. In countries with developed economies, people live in prosperity. On the contrary, we have opinions supporting the arrest of entrepreneurs, which in turn undermines the economic stability of the entire country. Today they may rejoice, but tomorrow taxes will fall, businesses will disappear, and the whole country will find itself in poverty,” he noted.

According to Shykmamatov, for economic prosperity, it is necessary to create safe and stable conditions for doing business, which will allow entrepreneurs to develop their projects and invest resources in the country.
