He noted that in February, wholesale prices for eggs increased by several soms, which affected retail prices. "Firstly, last year the cost of eggs was at the level of production costs, which led to a decrease in production by small farmers. Secondly, the current situation is influenced by seasonal factors, as well as ongoing measures for disease prevention and vaccination, which have also impacted production volumes," he added.
According to Chekirbaev, it is possible that the situation will normalize within 1.5-2 months.
