In the regions of Kyrgyzstan, the cost of meat will be studied as part of a pilot project, - expert
According to Mamytkanov, the work will be carried out as part of a pilot project in each region of Kyrgyzstan.
“We intend to find out how we can influence meat pricing. An analysis of the entire chain will be conducted — from production to final cost. Farmers claim that the price of 700 soms does not cover their expenses, but these are just words. It is necessary to conduct precise calculations and determine the actual costs,” he emphasized.
The expert added that previously, funds had already been allocated for the development of meat clusters through various projects. Nevertheless, the market situation remains challenging, which led to the decision to initiate a pilot analysis.
If the results of this project are positive, a decision may be made to expand similar initiatives.
In addition, Mamytkanov reported that there are currently 8 preferential lending programs operating in the agricultural sector. If necessary, funding can be redistributed depending on current demand.
