Deputy Salymbekov: Coca-Cola promises free refrigerators in restaurants — but on the condition that there are no other beverages.
The deputy addressed Nurlanova and the head of antimonopoly regulation Aibek Mamyraliyev. He reported that Coca-Cola is offering restaurants to install their refrigerators for selling their products, but at the same time requires the exclusion of local beverages from sale.
“I did not want to raise this issue, but I had to tell the truth,” he noted.
Salymbekov also cited another incident where a Kazakh company selling bottled water tried to persuade restaurants to sell only their product by offering to install refrigerators and provide cash. However, the owners of the establishments rejected such an offer.
At that time, the draft law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Competition," initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, was being discussed and was submitted for the first reading.
