The positive balance of Kyrgyzstan's state budget amounted to 2.5% of GDP, - EDB
By the end of the year, the state budget surplus amounted to 2.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP), slightly exceeding the previous year's figure of 2.4% of GDP. At the same time, revenues increased by 4.7 percentage points, reaching 34.1% of GDP.
“This is due to a 32.3% increase in tax revenues and a 3.7-fold increase in the volume of profit transfers from the National Bank to the budget,” experts note.
Expenditures, in turn, grew by 4.7 percentage points and amounted to 31.5% of GDP, which is associated with a 3.2-fold increase in allocations under the "economic issues" item, analysts emphasize.
This item covers sectors such as the fuel and energy complex, agriculture, and the mining industry.
The state budget surplus is a situation where revenues exceed expenditures, which, in turn, is a positive indicator for the country's economy.
