In Kyrgyzstan, there is a growing interest among farmers in organic fertilizers, which positively affects the condition of the soils. This was reported by Bakyt Mambetov, the director of the Department of Agricultural Crop Expertise of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, during a radio broadcast.

He noted that there are agricultural lands in the country that are poor in nutrients, which is why agrarians are seeking effective methods to improve soil fertility.

“Today, many farmers have started to switch to organic fertilizers. Previously, in villages, one could see a lot of manure stored in backyards or used in gardens,” Mambetov explained.

According to him, the situation has changed in recent years: farmers have become more active in applying organic materials to their fields.

“Now, on the contrary, it has become difficult to obtain manure. Farmers are eager to take it for fertilizing their plots,” he added.

The ministry representative emphasized that this indicates an increased awareness among farmers about the importance of improving soil quality.

“Sometimes they even offer money for manure to take it from farms. This demonstrates that farmers are paying more attention to organic farming,” he concluded.
