The minister emphasized the recent increase in egg prices. He noted that the company "Agrokush" covers approximately 70% of the region's needs for this product. Akunbekov held meetings with representatives of this firm, urging them to maintain affordable and stable prices for the population.
Additionally, the minister expressed concern about the unjustified rise in meat prices. He stressed the need for coordination between local authorities and relevant services to maintain price equilibrium in the domestic market.
The region's dependence on imports, especially from Uzbekistan, was also discussed. The minister urged agricultural producers to increase their own production of vegetables and fruits. In his opinion, saturating the local market with quality products is an important step towards ensuring citizens have access to affordable food and strengthening the country's food security. As a result of the visit, specific instructions were given to the relevant organizations to intensify work in this direction.
