On the air of the radio, Elmira Alymkulova, head of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, shared information about the preparatory activities for the agricultural census, which will take place from March 20 to April 10, 2026.

She noted that during the preparation process, meetings were held with the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with representatives of FAO in Kyrgyzstan.

“All census forms were agreed upon with these institutions and approved at the republican level. A total of four types of forms have been developed: for rural areas, state and collective farms, as well as for personal and summer cottage plots,” Alymkulova reported.

She added that electronic applications have been created for each form, covering types of crops, varietal composition of agricultural plants, and livestock breeds. This data will be sent to regional statistical bodies and filled out according to established forms.

To identify the enumerators, special badges with photographs, names, surnames, and QR codes will be used. “If anyone has doubts about an enumerator, they can verify their information through the QR code and confirm their authenticity,” the head of the office explained.

She also added that a logo has been developed for the enumerators, and an information and advertising campaign is currently underway, including videos aimed at informing the population about the upcoming census.
