In 6 years, the construction industry's contribution to the economy has increased 8 times - to 438 billion soms
As reported by the ministry, capital investments in social infrastructure have significantly increased: in 2021, 2.7 billion soms were utilized, while by 2025 this figure is expected to rise to 13.2 billion soms.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized that last year the gross domestic product of the construction sector amounted to 438.5 billion soms, whereas in 2019 it was 58.5 billion soms. This means that over six years, the sector has increased eightfold.
In 2024, it is expected that the growth of the construction sector in Kyrgyzstan will exceed 31 percent, which is one of the highest indicators among the CIS countries, he added, referring to data from the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The Minister of Construction, Nurdin Oruntaev, highlighted the key areas of the ministry's work for 2026.
Following the meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliev positively characterized the ministry's activities for 2025 and strongly recommended continuing the implementation of the initiated reforms, with particular attention to improving construction quality and timely completion of tasks.
