Since the beginning of February this year, 4.07 million fresh flowers have been imported into the country. This is a 31% increase compared to the import volumes in January.
The majority of supplies are transported by air, and the main supplying countries remain Kenya, China, Ecuador, the Netherlands, and Colombia.
In February, flowers such as roses, carnations, orchids, chrysanthemums, and lilies are especially popular. Roses hold the leading position — 3.56 million units were imported, which constitutes a significant portion of the total flower imports.
