Kyrgyzstan Has Grand Plans to Launch Processing Plants This Year (Figures)

The project approved by the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture includes the establishment of 75 processing plants, which will be launched by 2026. The main goal of this program is to enhance the competitiveness of local products, modernize production capacities, and increase the volumes of processing dairy, meat, and fruit and vegetable products, as well as to develop the food industry.

This year, it is planned to open:

eight plants in the Chui region;
14 plants in the Jalal-Abad region;
nine plants in the Osh region;
12 plants in the Issyk-Kul region;
15 plants in the Naryn region;
nine plants in the Batken region;
eight plants in the Talas region.

Among them:

ten trade and logistics complexes;
six storage facilities for fruits and vegetables;
five grain processing plants (including flour and pasta production);
14 enterprises for processing vegetables and fruits;
eight dairy processing plants;
eight meat processing enterprises (including six specializing in poultry);
one rice processing facility;
ten slaughterhouses;
five wool processing enterprises;
two fish processing plants;
one facility for processing medicinal plants;
one mineral water production;
three feed mills;
one honey processing enterprise.

Funding for this project is expected to come from preferential loans from the government, private investments, and resources from international organizations. It is anticipated that the launch of new processing plants will increase the production volumes of local products, create new jobs, and enhance the country's export potential.
