- In Kyrgyzstan, a significant increase in the level of agricultural product processing is planned, which is expected to rise from 10% to 50% by 2040. This was announced on the radio by Rustam Baltabaev, the executive director of the Association for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex.

According to him, such initiatives are enshrined in the presidential decree regarding the further development of the agri-sector. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture has set an interim goal of achieving a processing level of 25% by 2030.

Baltabaev emphasized that while the focus was previously on the "Financing Agriculture" project, the number of supporting programs has now increased to ten.

"Cluster lending has become one of the key tools. This program unites farmers and processing enterprises into a single chain. The government is currently focusing on uniting and supporting agrarians through such mechanisms, and results are already visible," he noted.

In addition, the executive director added that significant contributions to the modernization of agriculture are made by bilateral development institutions, such as the Russian-Kyrgyz and Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Funds.
