At a meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, an agreement with the International Development Association (IDA) was approved for financing a project called "Development of the Electricity Market and Integration of Energy Systems" (REMIT).

As part of this project, the construction of a high-voltage power line "Kristall — Zhyldyz" with a voltage of 220 kilovolts and a length of 17.9 kilometers is planned.

In addition, the project includes a complete reconstruction of the substations "Kristall" and "Torobaev," which have been in operation for more than 45-50 years.

A concessional loan of $40 million is allocated for the implementation of these activities, with a repayment period of 25 years. The grace period will be five years, and the interest rate will be 1.5% per annum.
