The Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, Elnura Mambetjunusheva, reported at a meeting of the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh that almost all issues related to the transportation of clothing items from Kyrgyzstan to Russia have been resolved. Currently, only six trucks are detained at the border for inspection.

According to Mambetjunusheva, an action algorithm has been agreed upon with the Federal Customs Service of Russia. She noted that the Russian side will promptly inform Kyrgyzstan about the reasons for delays, while the Kyrgyz side will strive to resolve any arising issues quickly.

However, Deputy Jumabek Salymbekov, who initiated the discussion, disagreed with this statement. He pointed out that cargo trucks continue to face problems at the border, and the situation remains critical.

Salymbekov also emphasized that the country's president has taken this issue under personal control and has given relevant instructions, demanding real steps to eliminate existing barriers.

The clothing industry in Kyrgyzstan is experiencing serious difficulties due to increased control by Russia at the border with Kazakhstan. The situation has worsened since September, when cargo delays have resulted in Russian customers not receiving goods, while Kyrgyz sewing enterprises remain unpaid for completed orders.
