Thus, the cost of meat turns out to be not 650-700 soms, but 800-850 soms per kilogram
In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the municipal inspection conducted checks at meat markets to monitor prices. This information was made public by the city hall.
During the raids, it was established that meat is initially purchased from suppliers at a price of 650-700 soms per kilogram. However, after it reaches the resellers, the price increases to 800-850 soms.
City hall emphasized that the presence of intermediaries in the supply chain significantly affects the increase in prices.
Intermediaries, starting their day, buy meat for 700 soms, then sell it to retail outlets for 730-740 soms, allowing them to make a profit of 30-50 soms on each kilogram. As a result, the retail price reaches 780-800 soms and more.
