In Karakol, an agricultural fair is taking place: How much is meat being sold for?
Local residents can purchase a variety of food products at very competitive prices.
Farmers from the Jeti-Oguz and Ak-Suu districts arrived at the event to showcase their products, produced without chemical additives.
According to the city hall, a kilogram of meat at the fair costs 650 soms.
In addition, the prices for other goods are as follows:
Garlic — 150 soms per kilogram
Apples — 60–80 soms per kilogram
Eggs — 12–13 soms each
Potatoes — 35–40 soms per kilogram
Beets — 40 soms per kilogram
Carrots — 35 soms per kilogram
Onions — 30 soms per kilogram
Cabbage — 35 soms per kilogram
Honey — 350–400 soms per kilogram
Fish — 350 soms per kilogram
Walnuts — 150 soms per kilogram
Chicken — 350 soms per kilogram.
As the organizers note, the main goal of the fair is to simplify the trading process by eliminating intermediaries and providing the population with access to quality and affordable products, as well as to help buyers interact directly with local producers.
