At a republican meeting dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in "Yntymak Ordo," President Sadyr Japarov stated that the years 2021–2025 will enter the modern history of Kyrgyzstan not only as a period of recovery but also as an era of qualitative economic progress.
According to him, in 2020, the country's gross domestic product amounted to 8.3 billion US dollars, and by 2025, it is expected to increase to over 22.6 billion US dollars, which means almost a threefold growth of the economy. This can be considered a significant achievement.
Over five years, tax revenues have quadrupled, customs duties have increased sixfold, and non-tax revenues have nearly increased ninefold. The consolidated budget in 2021 amounted to 313 billion soms and is projected to exceed 1 trillion 100 billion soms by 2025, corresponding to a growth of 3.5 times. These figures have no precedent in our country before. We have put in order those sectors where "shadow schemes" previously dominated, focusing on transparency and accountability, which has significantly reduced corruption risks in the fiscal sphere, as evidenced by the already visible results," noted the head of state.
