The GDP of agriculture increased from 396.8 to 459.7 billion soms, - Minister Akunbekov
Akunbekov also emphasized that the agricultural sector is a priority for the state strategy until 2030.
According to him, in 2024, the gross domestic product of agriculture is projected to be 396.8 billion soms, and by the end of 2025, it is expected to increase to 459.7 billion soms. This means that in just one year, the GDP of this sector will increase by almost 63 billion soms.
The minister also reported that the current needs of the population for basic food products, such as milk, potatoes, vegetables, meat, eggs, and sugar, are fully met. However, there is a need for imports of vegetable oil and fruits.
He noted that in recent years, the government has strengthened support for agriculture.
In particular, a preferential lending system has been implemented, and targeted projects are being carried out. In 2024, the volume of allocated loans amounted to 11.9 billion soms, and in 2025, it is planned to increase this amount to 12.6 billion soms.
