In the Ak-Suu district, one of the largest pumping stations in the country will soon begin full operation.

Nurzat Kaliev, head of the district water management department, reported that the "Tepke" pumping station will start its full operation this year.

In anticipation of the spring field works, representatives of the presidential envoy's office in the Issyk-Kul region visited the Ak-Suu district. They familiarized themselves with the condition and technical equipment of the "Tepke" pumping station, which is a strategically important facility.

The "Tepke" station is one of the largest hydraulic engineering structures in Kyrgyzstan. Its stable operation is critical for the region's agriculture, as it provides irrigation water for 3,800 hectares of land.

This station is equipped with five pumping units; however, previously, due to a lack of necessary components, only three of them were operational. In 2025, the required equipment was purchased, and this season it is planned to launch all five units. "This year, the station will operate at full capacity, ensuring uninterrupted access to irrigation water for farmers," noted Nurzat Kaliev.

The modernization of the pumping station will reduce the risk of water shortages during the growing season and increase crop yields in the Ak-Suu district.
