Since the beginning of 2026, 325 car owners have received payments under their compulsory insurance policies (OSAGO) totaling nearly 33.5 million soms. This was reported by Aktan Turumbekov, the director of the insurance and reinsurance department of Gosstrakh, in an interview on "Birinchi Radio".

He emphasized that in 2024, OSAGO payments amounted to only 4.3 million soms and were issued to 48 car owners, while in 2025 this amount increased to 86.5 million soms with 901 settled insurance claims.

Gosstrakh also notes a significant increase in the number of OSAGO contracts being concluded. "If in 2024 about 74,000 policies were issued, then in 2025 this figure exceeded 350,000. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 18,000 policies have already been concluded," he added.

Turumbekov noted that the improvement in the OSAGO situation indicates a growing awareness among citizens regarding insurance matters, allowing them to better protect themselves "in case of unforeseen circumstances."
