
As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 job openings in Kyrgyzstan, according to information provided by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration. The unemployment rate in the country stands at 1.3 percent, indicating a stable situation in the labor market.
Currently, 56,500 people are registered with employment services, of which 38,100 are officially recognized as unemployed. Deputy Minister of Labor Kamchybek Dosmatov, speaking at the ministry's board meeting, noted that the unemployment rate is significantly lower than during the period of 2021–2023. The number of registered unemployed has decreased by more than 20% over the past year, indicating positive changes in the employment sector.
The state employment service has played an important role in this process, facilitating the employment of 17,454 individuals last year. An analysis of the structure of labor demand shows that the country's economy requires specialists with applied and production skills. Of the total number of vacancies, 4,251 positions are related to skilled trades. Employers are actively seeking tailors, drivers, cooks, welders, and builders, as well as IT specialists. At the same time, there are 1,296 vacancies available in the service sector, including positions for educators, medical workers, accountants, and interns.
