In response to this inquiry, the head of the Financial Supervision, Marat Pirnazarov, reported that the maximum insurance amount is:
- 1 million soms for urban residents,
- 500 thousand soms for rural areas.
Additionally, he clarified that there are individual insurance rates under which the insurance amount and potential payouts can be significantly higher.
The deputy also inquired about how quickly compensation is paid to the victims.
Baktygul Abdyjaliev, Deputy Chairman of the State Insurance Organization, explained that the law provides for a one-month period for payments; however, the organization strives to process them more quickly.
“The main reasons for delays are the lack of documents for the property and various certificates,” he noted.
Kylchayev expressed the opinion that a month of waiting is too long for those who have lost their homes due to fire or natural disasters.
