He clarified that the relevant order clearly states that the restrictions apply exclusively to bone-in meat.
“State regulation did not cover boneless meat and fillet. The measures only applied to bone-in meat, including ham and brisket,” he added.
According to him, some consumers misinterpreted this provision, believing that the regulation applies to all types of meat.
As a result, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service received several inquiries from citizens. The agency sent specialists to conduct explanatory work with consumers and sellers to familiarize them with the requirements of the order.
A representative of the service emphasized that the action of this order covers all points of sale of meat throughout the country.
Background of the issue
The start of the order's action was set for August 2025 for a period of 90 days, after which it was extended for 30 days, until December 30. Then the temporary regulation was extended from December 31, 2025, to January 30, 2026, according to order No. 205. For the third time, the duration of the temporary regulation was extended until February 27, 2026.
