In the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova presented an initiative for the development of organic production and agritourism. In her opinion, this direction can significantly increase the income of both the state and residents of rural areas. Mavlyanova emphasized the need to protect the purity of water resources and mountainous regions to avoid the destructive impact of chemicals on the environment, which can lead to land degradation.
“Our ancestors preserved nature for centuries. We are obligated to keep the land clean for future generations. There is a growing demand for organic products in the world, with the organic market in the USA reaching $60 billion. If we produce quality organic products, it will create new opportunities for rural residents,” the deputy added.
She also reported that a bill related to the development of organic production will be presented in parliament soon and urged her colleagues to support this initiative.
