
During a meeting at the National Investment Agency under the President, the prospects for economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan were discussed. The participants emphasized the importance of expanding investment interactions.
According to the agency, after the negotiations, both sides expressed interest in further cooperation and decided to continue dialogue on specific investment projects.
The Japanese delegation was presented with the conditions for investing in Kyrgyzstan, including measures of state support, tax incentives, and legal guarantees for the protection of investments. The mechanisms for project implementation and the institutional support provided were also clarified.
The discussion touched on key sectors of the economy, such as energy, infrastructure, industry, agro-industrial complex, and digital transformation. Participants received information about the reforms being carried out to improve the business environment and create transparent conditions for investors.
An expert from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) noted that Kyrgyzstan has significant investment potential and a favorable geographic location, which opens up opportunities for access to regional markets.
