During the meeting, ways to restore the operation of idle production capacities were discussed. Participants talked about how to engage unused production spaces in active economic activity. The region has many industrial facilities with developed engineering and transport infrastructure and convenient locations. However, investors often face a lack of ready-made industrial sites, which leads to the need to convert agricultural land and, consequently, increases project implementation timelines.
Thus, idle enterprises are viewed as an important resource for the reindustrialization of the region.
Azamat Osmonov noted that state policy is not aimed at expropriating or redistributing property. The president's office acts as an initiator of open dialogue and guarantees transparency, as well as being ready to protect the interests of owners when working with potential investors.
Entrepreneurs were offered a mechanism for voluntary cooperation with investors, which may include leasing, creating joint ventures, selling a stake, or complete alienation of assets. Cooperation will be formalized through memorandums and, if necessary, recorded in contracts.
It is expected that the implementation of this initiative will lead to the creation of new jobs, an increase in tax revenues, a reduction in the burden on agricultural land, and the formation of a registry of ready-made industrial sites in the Chui region.
