A freezing complex will be built in Chui region

In the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Chui region, the construction of a new freezing complex will begin. This became known thanks to information provided by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

The agreement for financing this project was signed between the RKDF and the LLC "Kyrgyzcentroproduct," one of the leading exporters of agricultural products in the country. The fund's investments will be directed towards creating a modern complex for storing products.

According to the RKDF, the new facility will occupy an area of about 5,000 square meters and will be able to simultaneously store up to 3,000 tons of frozen vegetables and fruits. After the construction is completed, the total storage capacity at the enterprise will double.

Artem Novikov, chairman of the RKDF, emphasized the importance of this project for the fund. He noted that it aligns with the goals of the National Development Program until 2030 and meets the tasks set by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, aimed at significantly increasing the volumes of agricultural product exports. "Agriculture is subject to seasonal fluctuations, and during peak months, the harvest exceeds the capacities of current storage facilities. The new complex will help receive products from farmers without delays, which will reduce the risks of crop loss," he added.

At the signing ceremony of the agreement, Azamat Osmonov, the authorized representative of the president in the Chui region, was present and noted the strategic significance of this project for the region.

"Today, the Chui region is viewed not only as an agricultural region but also as a center for industrial development. The implementation of such projects contributes to strengthening the industrial potential of the region," he emphasized.

The development of infrastructure is linked to the growth of exports: over the past year, the volume of frozen fruit and berry supplies has increased almost fourfold, reaching 3,632 tons. During the mass harvest period, when up to 60% of the annual raw material volume enters the market, existing capacities cannot cope with the load. The new freezing complex in Ak-Suu will ensure stable acceptance of products from farmers and maintain their quality in accordance with international standards.
