In Kyrgyzstan, there are plans to increase the share of women entrepreneurs among individual entrepreneurs and small businesses.

According to the draft program for the support and development of small and medium-sized enterprises until 2030, prepared by the Ministry of Economy, small enterprises and individual entrepreneurs make a significant contribution to the country's economy. This document states that, according to an analysis conducted by the OSCE, in 2024, most small and medium-sized enterprises, especially microbusinesses, women-led, and youth enterprises, will still face restrictions in accessing long-term and affordable financing. This is due to high collateral requirements, high interest rates, and insufficient coverage of existing support programs. In this regard, the Ministry of Economy emphasized that by 2030, at least 40% of women should be involved in new initiatives to support small and medium-sized businesses.
