Authorities reported how much was paid on the national debt in January

In January 2026, the government of Kyrgyzstan allocated 7 billion 470 million soms, which is equivalent to approximately 85.3 million dollars, to cover obligations on the national debt. This data is presented in reports from the country's Ministry of Finance.

As a reminder, in 2025, according to information from the Ministry of Finance, Kyrgyzstan made payments on external debt amounting to 45 billion 967.7 million soms (525.3 million dollars), while 31 billion 170.4 million soms (356.2 million dollars) were directed towards domestic obligations.
