In Kyrgyzstan, a temporary procedure has been adopted that regulates the conduct of electronic auctions for obtaining licenses for subsoil use. This decision is part of the reform of the mining sector initiated by a presidential decree and aims to minimize corruption risks in the process of distributing deposits.

Licenses for the development of natural resources will now be granted exclusively through a digital platform. The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision plans to launch a pilot project in the near future, monitoring its effectiveness until September 30, 2026.

Upon completion of this testing period, the ministry will prepare a draft permanent regulatory act, which will be submitted to the presidential administration to enshrine electronic auctions in the country's legislation.

The resolution will come into effect 15 days after its publication.
