The goal of this project is to modernize the equipment, increase productivity, and extend the operational life of the station.
It is expected that the implementation of this project will lead to a significant improvement in the efficiency and reliability of the Lebedinovskaya HPP. As a result, it is planned:
- to increase the installed capacity from 7.6 to 10 MW;
- to increase the annual electricity generation from 37.2 million to 53.5 million kWh;
- to improve the reliability of the hydroelectric power station.

The Lebedinovskaya HPP is one of the oldest operating hydroelectric power stations in the Chui region, construction of which began in May 1942, during intense combat operations of World War II.
The construction took only a year and two weeks, and by 1943, the city of Frunze (now Bishkek) received the necessary electricity, which contributed to the launch of evacuated factories working for the needs of the front.
