The most significant contribution to the overall growth of the construction industry came from the city of Bishkek, where the volume of construction work increased by 19.7%. The main factors behind this growth were the construction of multi-story residential buildings, road construction, laying power supply lines, and gasification of residential areas.
Notable growth was also observed in the following regions:
- Chui Region — an increase of 54.9%
- Jalal-Abad Region — an increase of 38.3%
- City of Osh — an increase of 23.1%
- Issyk-Kul Region — an increase of 15.1%
- Talas Region — an increase of 0.8%
At the same time, a decrease in construction volumes was observed in:
- Batken Region — a decrease of 19.6%
- Naryn Region — a decrease of 2.7%
- Osh Region — a decrease of 1.2%
The construction sector contributed 1.62 percentage points to the formation of gross domestic product, and the share of construction in the GDP structure was 8.7%.
