In 2025, the trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan increased by 26.8% compared to the previous year, according to data from the National Statistical Committee.

The total trade volume between the two countries rose by nearly $400 million, reaching $1.9 billion.

The main factor for this growth was the increase in imports of goods from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, which grew by 44.5%, reaching $1.4 billion.

An important role in this increase was played by the expansion of imports of ten groups of goods, including petroleum products, ready-made grain products, flour, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco, ferrous metals, cement, as well as cocoa and its derivatives, which accounted for 80% of the total import value.

Against this backdrop, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan decreased by 8.4%, amounting to $453.2 million.
