Ministry of Economy: Kyrgyzstan Strengthens Focus on Production and Export Support
He noted that in recent years, new large enterprises have been opened in the republic, contributing to the growth of production volumes and the entry of goods into international markets.
Murataliev also reported that joint projects with partners from the EAEU countries and other regions are planned for the future, which, in his opinion, could help increase mutual trade turnover considering Kyrgyzstan's strategic position.
In addition, relevant agencies have been instructed to increase trade volumes with various countries, including Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Russia. In some cases, the possibility of doubling trade turnover is being considered.
As part of the export support program, measures have been developed, including the organization of an "export caravan" and mechanisms for subsidizing transportation costs for local producers.
The Ministry reports that the Center for Export Development and Promotion has been operating for two years. It is responsible for organizing exhibitions in Kyrgyzstan and for the participation of domestic companies in international exhibitions to promote their products in foreign markets.
Special attention is being paid to the light industry. In this area, a project for preferential lending to small and medium-sized enterprises is being implemented. For 2026, about 400 million soms are planned to be allocated for subsidizing interest rates, which will allow end borrowers to obtain loans at an interest rate of about 6%.
The project is designed until 2030 and includes a phased increase in funding volumes. It is expected that the total amount of subsidies may range from 3 to 7 billion soms.
Murataliev clarified that the funds will be directed towards the purchase of equipment, modernization, production expansion, replenishment of working capital, refinancing of existing loans, as well as the launch of new productions. The main goal is to scale up existing enterprises and support new production projects to increase export volumes.
