Grain exports from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.7 times
From September 2025 to February 19, 2026, there was an export of 6.4 million tons of new crop grain to foreign markets, which is 19.7% more than in the same period of the previous marketing year, when 5.4 million tons were supplied.
The increase in export volumes is a result of the activation of trade both in traditional markets of Central Asian countries and beyond.
Notably, there has been a significant rise in supplies to Uzbekistan, where volumes increased by 46%, from 2 million tons to 3 million tons. In Kyrgyzstan, exports rose from 104 thousand tons to 180 thousand tons, which is 1.7 times. Supplies to Afghanistan also showed significant growth — from 236 thousand tons to 466 thousand tons, corresponding to an increase of 1.9 times.
Experts note that the positive dynamics of exports indicate a high demand for Kazakh grain and the competitiveness of local products in the international arena.
