In 2025, there were 1,831 greenhouses operating in the republic, covering a total area of 298.1 hectares.
Of this amount, 139.6 million soms were spent on the purchase of 3,110.1 tons of tubing, while 202.4 million soms were used to acquire 32 sprinkler installations and drip irrigation systems covering an area of 324 hectares. On average, additional drip irrigation systems are installed annually in the country on areas ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 hectares.
Particular attention is drawn to the agricultural cooperative in the Aral region of the Tyup district, which is engaged in safflower cultivation on 100 hectares. Starting from December 5, 2025, the cooperative will begin processing safflower into oil after the installation of modern equipment.
In 2025, there were also 1,831 greenhouses in the republic with a total area of 298.1 hectares, which is 2% higher than the figures for 2024. Most of the greenhouses are concentrated in the Jalal-Abad, Batken, Osh, and Chui regions.
The agricultural sector contributed 0.19 percentage points to GDP formation, and the share of agriculture in the GDP production structure reached 8%.
