In the next 4-5 years, a stable level of meat prices is expected in Kyrgyzstan, which will remain high. This was reported by Uran Chekirbaev, head of the food security department of the Ministry of Agriculture, during a live broadcast on the "Elden Sobol" program of the news agency "Kabar".
According to him, the ministry is actively working to prevent sharp fluctuations in meat prices and regularly monitors prices for basic food products. Among the measures being taken are a temporary ban on the export of livestock, which was introduced in August of last year, as well as support for farmers through various subsidies, including credit programs aimed at livestock breeders, he added.
