The Eurasian Economic Commission discussed the potential application of artificial intelligence for antimonopoly regulation in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.

As reported by the EEC press service, the conference examined the contribution of AI to improving business operations and as a mechanism for antimonopoly control, which requires the formation of unified approaches to its use.

Maxim Ermolovich, a member of the board for competition and antimonopoly regulation of the EEC, emphasized that the EAEU states aim not only to study AI in the context of regulation but also to actively implement it in the analytical activities of regulators.

He noted: "Artificial intelligence should transition from being an object of our study to a primary analytical tool that will allow us to automate routine processes and deepen analytical work for the proactive identification of risks of violating competition norms."
