Trade and economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia have shown active development in recent years. Deputy Minister of Economy Choro Seiytov announced this information on February 19, 2026, at a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh.

He noted that exports from Kyrgyzstan significantly exceed imports, which indicates the growing positions of the country in the Mongolian market.
Seiytov also added that both sides have managed to reduce customs duties on 367 commodity items.
“This opening of the Mongolian market will create an opportunity for Kyrgyz agricultural product exporters to sell important goods such as honey, dried fruits, fresh apples, strawberries, confectionery, chocolate, wafers, and cookies to Mongolia duty-free,” he emphasized.

At this time, the draft law "On Ratification of the Temporary Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States and Mongolia," which was signed on June 27, 2025, in Minsk, Republic of Belarus (first reading), was also being considered.
